Cut above a node when you want the plant to branch. What is in front of you is the node below the cut.

Do it in order

Handle it this way: leave a node and a leaf on the plant. Wash the tool when you move to the next plant.

The usual miss

People lose cuttings and seedlings to a cut that takes the last leaf. Slow down there.

Finished means the plant still has a leaf below the cut. If you are guessing, water less than you want to and look again tomorrow.

This sits in "Cutting and vases", written as a garden note rather than a catalog.

A garden note, not a promise that a plant will thrive. Look again in a week.
